To understand the concepts of science, one has to look beyond the books and conventional classroom teaching. Effective teaching and learning of science involves seeing, handling real objects and materials.Children are able to retain the knowledge for longer when they see the experiments being performed in front of their eyes.Science lab equipment allows students to interact directly with the data gathered. They get a first-hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own. Students are made to use the models and understand different scientific theories and concepts. SIS provides well equipped Science Labs which make teaching and learning easyfor the students. There are several scientific theories and concepts that are difficult to explain directly from the books. Anatomy models, Physics science kits and Chemistry science kits for instance make it easy to understand the otherwise complex theories of science.
Sanjivani International School has a Medical Room with a qualified Medical In-charge to provide emergency care for illness or injury while at school and to ensure that all students get appropriate referrals to health care providers. We monitor and help in control of spread of communicable diseases and provide education and counseling in a variety of health and wellness topics.
The school library is central to learning and plays a key role as a place for encouraging innovation, curiosity, and problem solving. Our school library is a catalyst for literacy, reading, teaching and scaffolding enquiry learning. A School library makes a difference to students understanding and achievement and provides support for teaching and learning throughout the school. Our library contains encyclopedias, various series of world books and numerous publications. The library subscribes to national and international periodicals, journals and newspapers.
Sanjivani International School has state of art swimming pool in the school campus. We have full time trainers and guards at the pool, with all the facilities which includes changing rooms, showers, floats etc. We educate children about water and swimming so that they don't develop a fear for it later in life, which allows them to have fun in the water and become experienced swimmers.
SIS provides a well maintained, hygienic canteen (Mess) facility to its students. We provide hygienic conditions and nutritious food to the students. Breakfast, lunch, snacks along with milk (diet supplements), juices, and fruits are included in meals. Meal menu for weekdays is displayed in the dining area and in the almanac. Students are also taught proper eating habits, table manners and importance of healthy food.
School has in-house bus transportation facility. Proper care, service, license and maintenance of vehicleis maintained by the school authorities. We believe in "Safety First" and to ensure it, all buses are provided with proper medical kit, fire extinguishers, trained drivers and cleaners and female bus attendants. As per the guidelines of the RTO speed governance is installed in all the buses.
